Co-Curricular Programme


Several skills and qualities that are instrumental to a child’s holistic development are learnt outside the classroom. Bandikui Public School has a co-curricular programme that fully supports a child’s learning process. The program has 4 modules. All students at BPS pursue different activities under each module, based on their interests.

Sports and Games
Besides nurturing athletic talents, this module inculcates a spirit of healthy competition and teamwork in students. Games: Athletics, cricket, volleyball, basketball, kabaddi, horse riding

Outdoor Activities
Adequate outdoor activity increases health and physical development by improving sensory development, reducing obesity and stimulating blood cells. Through physical outdoor activities they can improve speed, strength, stamina and motor skills. This in turn supports improvement of self-image, self-esteem and awareness of their own body.

Indoor Activities
Indoor activities encourage creativity and cultural thinking. They provide entertainment and relaxation for children. Besides, they improve hand-eye coordination and cognitive abilities. Activities: Badminton, Chess, Table Tennis, Carrom Board Physical Education: Taekwondo

Performing Arts
This module allows students to discover and nurture a creative spirit while learning. Involvement in performing arts helps students increase academic discipline and provides them with a medium for self-expression.

Music
Music creates social cohesion; it speaks to all when words can fail and wherever you go in the world, it is understood. Learning music powerfully reinforces language skills, builds the capacity for reading ability, attention and memory. According to the latest research on the cognitive neuroscience of music. Instruments: Drums, guitar, piano, singing, tabla, harmonium

Dance
Dance fosters artistic expression and creativity. Children become more confident in expressing themselves and exploring artistic creativity through dance. Movement combinations increase memory, order and sequencing skills. Creating dance also increases self-esteem which is so very important to learn.
Indian & Western

Creative Interest
Pursuing hobbies and interests is a great way to enhance one’s personality and discover hidden talents. A diverse mix of activities under this module ensures that every child finds something that is of interest to him/her. Activities: Calligraphy, clay modelling, drawing, painting, origami

Personality Development
The importance of interpersonal and communication skills cannot be undermined in today’s competitive world. These need to be instilled in a person at a young age as it gets harder to acquire them as we grow older. The offerings under this module prepare students to handle challenging social and professional situations with confidence.
